Ukraine took back Kherson city from Russian troops, President Zelensky said – this is the beginning of the end of the war

Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelensky has visited the recently liberated city of Kherson. This information has been given in the news in the local media. Zelensky called the Russian withdrawal from the southern city of Kherson "the beginning of the end of the war" during a meeting with troops. He has also posed for a picture with the soldiers.

 

NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg nevertheless cautioned that Ukraine will face difficulties in the coming months and said Russia's military potential should not be underestimated.

 

While unfurling the country's blue and yellow flag in the main administrative building of Kherson, Zelensky sang the national anthem. and said, 'This is the beginning of the end of the war.'

 

Let us tell you that Zelensky said on Facebook on Sunday that he was in his office in the capital Kyiv. However, on Monday, he posed for a picture with soldiers at the Central Kherson crossroads. In addition, after returning to the city of Kherson, Volodymyr Zelensky said on Sunday that investigators here have uncovered more than 400 Russian war crimes. The bodies of both soldiers and civilians have been found in areas of the Kherson region freed from Russian occupation.

 

The city of Kherson was formed in 2014 after separating from Crimea

The Kherson province was carved out of Crimea in 2014. Ukraine has not yet recovered from the shock of the annexation of Crimea.
