Ukraine's military position strengthened
The Ukrainian army tightened its hold on Kherson on Sunday. Authorities have begun discussions on removing the explosive devices and restoring basic public services in the city. A Ukrainian official described the situation in Kherson as "a humanitarian disaster". It is being told that the remaining residents of the city are short of electricity, water, medicine, and food. Ukrainian police have called on residents to help identify allies of the Russian military during the eight-month occupation. Ukrainian police officers returned to the city on Saturday after the withdrawal of Russian troops.
