Monsoon rains are being seen in many states of the country. According to the forecast of the Meteorological Department (IMD), it may rain in many areas of the country including Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, and Bihar today.
According to the IMD forecast, rain is expected in many parts of Jammu-Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal and northeastern states today. During this, there is a possibility of hail and lightning along with strong wind in many places.
How will be the weather in Uttarakhand?
The Meteorological Department has issued a red alert of heavy to very heavy in many areas of Uttarakhand today. According to IMD, 6 districts of Uttarakhand Dehradun, Pauri, Tehri, Nainital, Udham Singh Nagar, and Champawat may receive heavy to very heavy rains till August 14. Regional Director of Uttarakhand Meteorological Department Vikram Singh said that there is a possibility of heavy rains in the low-lying areas of Garhwal and Kumaon for the next 3 days. There is a red alert for heavy rains in Dehradun, Tehri, Pauri till August 14. While tomorrow i.e. from August 12 to August 14, there is a possibility of heavy rains in Nainital, Udham Singh Nagar, Champawat.
Whereas, there is an orange alert for very heavy rainfall in Champawat, Nainital, and Udham Singh Nagar. In other districts too, there may be intense showers with thunder and lightning in some places. This sequence is expected to continue till August 14. For the last three days, there has been a sequence of heavy rains in many areas of Doon.
How will the weather of Delhi-NCR be?
There is a possibility of drizzling in Delhi-NCR and surrounding areas even today. According to the Meteorological Department, the weather will remain like this in many areas of Delhi, Noida, Ghaziabad, Faridabad, and Gurugram till Saturday. There will also be a drop in the temperature and people will get relief from the humid heat.
