What did the Prime Minister say?
Prime Minister Modi said that the caste census is an exercise to bring those sections into the mainstream, which have been left behind. He stressed that his government does not believe in caste politics, but empowering the backward is its aim. Two resolutions were passed in this meeting of NDA Chief Ministers and Deputy CMs, one of which praised the bravery of the armed forces in Operation Sindoor and the strong decisions taken under the leadership of PM Modi, while the second resolution praised the decision to conduct caste census along with the next census.

Jairam Ramesh wrote in a social media post that 'On April 30, 2025, amidst the Pahalgam terror attack and Operation Sindoor, the Prime Minister suddenly announced the caste census. Yesterday, as expected, the Prime Minister took full credit for the caste census in a meeting with NDA Chief Ministers.'
Sharing two videos, Jairam Ramesh wrote 'But listen to what the Prime Minister said earlier - one. On October 2, 2023, when the results of the caste survey were released in Bihar and second.
