The Meteorological Center in Jaipur said that Churu was the hottest in the country on Tuesday. The maximum temperature here was recorded at 50.5 degrees, which is the highest this season. Earlier, the mercury was recorded at 50.8 degrees on June 1, 2019. Apart from Churu, the temperature was recorded at 49.4 degrees in Ganganagar, Rajasthan, 49 in Pilani and Jhunjhunu, 48.3 in Bikaner, 48.2 in Kota, 48 in Jaisalmer and 46.6 degrees in Jaipur. Earlier, the maximum temperature of 48.6 degrees was recorded in Pilani on May 2, 1999. The state government has asked people to step out of their homes only if it is very important.
There will be no relief from the heat wave for two days
According to the Meteorological Department, the temperature reached close to 50 degrees at three centers in the capital. The maximum temperature was recorded at 49.9 degrees Celsius in Mungeshpur and Narela and 49.8 degrees Celsius in Najafgarh. The department said that people will not get relief from the scorching heat and heat wave for at least two days.

Meteorological Department scientist Dr Kuldeep Srivastava said that Safdarjung is the standard center in the capital. On May 27, 2020, the temperature was recorded at 46 degrees in Safdarjung. Talking about the record, from 1931 to 2023, the temperature was recorded at 47.2 on May 29, 1944, and 46.7 degrees on June 17, 1945, in Safdarjung.
Minor relief after two days from western disturbance
