Pakistan's Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that America should 'control itself', otherwise Afghanistan will collapse. He said that if this happens then Afghanistan will become a stronghold of extremists.
He said that America, recovering from the defeat of Afghanistan, should send immediate help there, so that a humanitarian disaster looming nearby can be avoided. On Monday, he said these things in an interview given to London's online news portal 'Middleeast Eye' in Islamabad.
Imran Khan said, "It is important for Pakistan that America takes steps to deal with this challenge. Otherwise, Pakistan will have to pay a heavy price again after thousands of people of Pakistan have been killed in the US-led war against terror." "
In this interview, he said, "This is a very important time. America will have to control its emotions because Americans are still in shock."
Regarding the people of America, the Pakistani Prime Minister said, "They were thinking about a particular kind of democracy, country-building or women's freedom when suddenly the Taliban came. People are full of anger, shock, and wonder." '
He further said that unless America takes the lead, we will be worried about spreading chaos in Afghanistan and we will be affected the most by this.
'Taliban support necessary for stability'
He said that after fighting for two decades, the US has no choice but to support a stable government in Afghanistan, as the Taliban is the only option to fight Islamic State in the region. To stop the radical elements within the Taliban, it is also necessary to support it.
The Pakistani Prime Minister said, "The world should join Afghanistan. If they remove it, the Taliban can easily fall into the clutches of extremists again like in 2000. And it will be a great disaster for the world."
Imran Khan said that half of Afghanistan's population is below the poverty line and 75% of the country's budget money comes from foreign aid. In such a situation, if a ban is imposed on it, then a huge humanitarian disaster can arise.
He said, "If America leaves Afghanistan like this, then my concern is that it will easily go back to the 1989 era. More than two million Afghans were killed in the civil war that followed the Soviet Union and the United States.
The Prime Minister of Pakistan claimed, "In 2008 he warned US Senators Joe Biden, John Kerry and Harry Reid that they were creating a swamp in Afghanistan with no military solution. But they didn't listen to us. Two years later, our then Chief of Army Staff, General Ashfaq Pervez Kayani, said the same thing to President Barack Obama."
Imran Khan said of the Taliban's occupation of Afghanistan, "We were greatly relieved by the peaceful transfer of power there. We feared a lot of bloodsheds. But for this also we have been blamed. Three lakh Afghan soldiers surrendered without fighting. Did it. We didn't ask them to surrender."
What did Imran say about the Talibani government?
Regarding the structure of the provisional government of the Taliban, Imran Khan has admitted that it is not inclusive. At the same time, he added that the Taliban government is made for the transition period. And also said that the Taliban needs to be given time to increase the participation of different communities.
He said that Pakistan is working with neighboring countries Tajikistan and Uzbekistan to increase the participation of various minority communities in the government. It is known that there is a large minority of Tajik and Uzbek origin in Afghanistan.
According to Imran Khan, "Afghanistan's society is diverse, so they need an inclusive government. They have made reasonable statements. The best solution is to encourage them to talk. But if you force them, then I It seems that their nature is such that the result will be reversed."
Pakistani PM's opinion on TTP
He said that there are many sections within the Taliban and there has been a lack of clear leadership on many issues. According to him, there are 50 groups in Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and those who are ready to talk are ready to talk to them.
Referring to Britain's agreement with Northern Ireland, he said, "I have always believed that all rebellions ultimately end at the negotiating table. Now we are talking to those people of TTP who can be reconciled and who are ready to give up their weapons and live as ordinary citizens.
He said the Taliban government has told Pakistan that the TTP will not be allowed to attack from Afghan territory. At the same time, he once again accused India's intelligence agency that he used to support TTP of an attack on Pakistan during the previous government of Kabul.
'Pakistan will no longer give space to America'
Condemning the continued use of drones in Afghanistan by the US, Imran Khan said, "It is the most useless way to fight terrorism. By attacking a village hut with a drone, hoping that it will not cause any casualties. And many times drones He has targeted the wrong people."
