Russia has said that the way Western countries have imposed illegal sanctions on Russia, due to them the supply of food is not being done. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov called on Western countries to immediately end illegal sanctions allowing Russian ships to travel and export wheat and other food items. It is noteworthy that the Russian Navy has the Black Sea and Ukraine's ports, so there is no food supply from Ukraine.

President Putin has said that Western sanctions have hurt him. The world's supply system has been disturbed by the sanctions imposed on Russia, which may have to bear the brunt of the whole world. Putin said, "Western countries cannot succeed by removing Russia from the technology system." Putin said this in video conferencing with the leaders of former Soviet countries.

Russia is the world's largest producer of wheat

Earlier, Britain's Foreign Minister Liz Truss said that Russian President Vladimir Putin wants to extort a ransom from the world in exchange for food. Truss said this on the condition of Russia lift sanctions imposed by Western countries. On Wednesday, the head of the European Union, Ursala van der Lien, spoke about the use of food as a weapon. It should be noted that Russia is the largest wheat producer and exporter in the world.

Climate change is also responsible

It is worth noting that due to climate change, increasing heat is also registering a decrease in the production of wheat. According to scientists, due to the increasing heat and lack of water, in the coming times, there may be a big problem in front of the whole world regarding food security. The highest production of wheat in India occurs in the Indo-Gangetic Plain (Gangetic Territories). A recent study has found that due to increasing heat and water scarcity, there has been a significant reduction in wheat yield.
