Blast near CRPF school in Delhi

 

A massive blast took place near the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) school in the Rohini area of ​​the national capital. The blast was so loud that its sound was heard up to two kilometers away and smoke engulfed the surrounding areas for 10 minutes. Glass of many vehicles and shops broke. After the blast, central agencies including the National Investigation Agency (NIA) inspected the spot. Given the possibility of a terrorist attack, the NSG has taken over the spot. In the initial investigation, the possibility of a blast from a country-made bomb is suspected.

 

The Home Ministry has sought a report from the police. Deputy Commissioner of Police Amit Goyal said that the police received information about the blast near the school in Prashant Vihar in Rohini Sector 14 at 7:47 am. Due to Sunday being a holiday, the children were not around the school. The blast damaged the wall of the school and a crater was also formed there. There was a strong stench from there. The police have increased security in the area. Police have been asked to remain alert in other areas as well.

 

The FSL team reached the spot and took its samples. White powder and some wire-like things have also been recovered from the spot. Meanwhile, fire brigade vehicles also reached the spot. In the initial investigation, it is suspected that high-intensity explosives have been used in the blast. It could also be a small crude bomb. Given the possibility of a terrorist attack, the NSG team has also reached the spot. After reaching the spot, the NSG has taken the spot under its control. According to sources in the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) team, crude bomb-like material has been found in the initial investigation. However, official information will be available only after receiving the full report.

In December 2023, there was an explosion outside the Israeli Embassy, ​​but there were no casualties.
