The administration has taken strict action after the incident that took place at New Delhi Railway Station on Saturday night. Delhi Police has deployed six inspector-rank officers at New Delhi Railway Station (NDLS) to enhance crowd management and ensure the safety of passengers.

The accident happened on platform number 14 and 15
The incident took place on the foot-overbridge connecting platforms number 14 and 15, where some passengers slipped while alighting, causing panic and leading to this fatal accident. Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav has ordered an inquiry and constituted a two-member high-level committee to investigate the lapses.
