On the main bathing festival Mahashivratri, if you come from Lucknow, Pratapgarh, then you will take a bath at Phaphamau Ghat. If you come from Rewan, Banda, Chitrakoot, and Mirzapur, then you will take a holy dip at Arail Ghat, and from the Kaushambi side, you will take a holy dip in Sangam.
The zonal scheme will be applicable on the last main bathing festival of Mahakumbh, which will be made effective from Tuesday evening. Along with this, no vehicle zone will be strictly followed in the entire fair area and vehicles with passes will also be parked in the nearest parking.
For the convenience of devotees coming by road, 40 teams of police bike mobile squads have been deployed on all highways and major routes. Emphasizing on fast arrival and exit of vehicles, smooth and safe traffic has been planned.

As soon as the zonal scheme comes into effect from Tuesday evening, the devotees coming from whichever route will bathe safely at the ghat on that side. A decision will be taken to open and close the pontoon bridges according to the crowd so that the traffic is not affected and the bathers do not face any problems.
Security personnel are being deployed from Sangam to other ghats, entry routes of the fair, and single routes as well. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has given clear instructions to the officials that there should be no jam anywhere and there should be no inconvenience.
Given this, efforts are being made to implement the scheme on the ground by making better coordination with Mahakumbh, Commissionerate Prayagraj, Range, Zone as well as the surrounding districts.

Vehicles will not be allowed to stand on illegal parking on the highway.
If the vehicle of a devotee breaks down, it will be immediately removed from the road.
Traffic will be monitored continuously from I-Triple C.
40 mobile police squads will remain active on the route throughout the time.
Vehicles of bathers will be parked in the designated parking.
Apart from Sangam, police will also be deployed on the route leading to Shivalaya.
Emphasis on getting the sanctum sanctorum of Shivalayas cleared quickly.
On Mahashivratri, devotees also go to Shivalayas to offer water. The additional police force is being deployed in all major Shivalayas. Emphasis has also been laid on getting the sanctum sanctorum of Shivalayas cleared quickly so that the crowd can be managed.
It is believed that if devotees stay in the sanctum sanctorum for a long time, the crowd will increase, due to which people may have to face inconvenience and difficulty.
Deployment of ADG, IG level officers
On the instructions of the Chief Minister, ADG and IG level officers have been deployed on seven major routes connecting Prayagraj. ADG Sujit Pandey has been given the responsibility of Prayagraj-Mirzapur highway, IG Chandraprakash of Prayagraj-Varanasi road, Preetinder Singh of Prayagraj-Rewa road, Manjil Saini of Lucknow and Pratapgarh-Ayodhya road, Rajesh Modak of the city area.
20 new IPS officers have also been put on duty
