Kota / Jaipur
So far, Kovid-19 infection has spread to 97 people in two Karona hotspots of Rajasthan's coaching city Kota and thousands of students who have come here to prepare for engineering and medical entrance examinations are stuck here due to the lockdown. In the last 24 hours, after the confirmation of Corona here to 12 people including 1 student, there has been increased concern of parents across the country. But now Kota is becoming a political hotspot between Corona to Jung. Bitterness has arisen between Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot on the return of around 35,000 students.
After talks between Gehlot and Yogi a day ago, Nitish Kumar called the students' homecoming as a mockery of lockdown. When asked if he too would send the Kota bus, he said in clear terms that it was a mockery of lockdown. The decision to send a bus is completely defying the principles of Lockdan.
On the other hand, CM Gehlot has said that students in Kota can be sent to their home states with the consent of the concerned state government. As the UP government has called back the students residing in Kota, similarly other states can also call their students.
Quota raises concern across the country, 1 coaching student is also Corona positive
The first case came in Kota on 6 April. The death of 2 people, a hospital ambulance driver and now a coaching student, has increased concerns about the quota nationwide after Corona was confirmed amidst ever-increasing cases of corona infection. Students who got positive reached their home in Bharatpur on April 13 from Kota.
His hostel room in Kota has been sealed after reports came positive. As of Saturday morning, 97 corona patients have been confirmed in Kota and about 35000 student families from various states of the country who are staying here are worried.
Bihar students highest after UP
Uttar Pradesh has the highest number of students coming for coaching in Kota and trapped in lockdown. Around 7500 students of UP are currently living in Kota. Second is the students of Bihar, their number is being told about 6500. Apart from this, 4000 of MP, 3000 of Jharkhand, 2000 of Haryana, 2000 of Maharashtra, 1000 of North East and about 1000 students of West Bengal are stuck in the quota during lockdown. The concern of thousands of families of these states is continuously increasing. According to the information, 13-14 thousand girls are also included in these students.
Lonely problems and stress due to food and water
Most of the students in Kota live in hostels and PGs of coaching institutes. In the early days of lockdown, the nearby students have returned home from here and the same continues. In such a situation, loneliness and stress have become more problematic due to eating and drinking among the students of other states. Many students of Hotells are forced to have one student each, their friends have returned home and now they are missing them. Although some students are taking advantage of this lockdown by studying in groups, but in most areas it is a stressful period for boys and girls living alone or in PG.
