Women Reservation Bill 2023: The Women Reservation Bill will be discussed in the Lok Sabha on Wednesday. According to the news of news agency ANI, Congress Parliamentary Party President Sonia Gandhi will participate in this discussion as the keynote speaker on behalf of her party.
The Women's Reservation Bill has a provision to provide a 33 percent quota for women in the Lok Sabha and state assemblies. It was introduced in the Lok Sabha in a special session of Parliament on Tuesday and will be discussed in the House meeting to be held at 11 a.m. today.

The Union Cabinet on Monday approved the Women's Reservation Bill. On Tuesday, Union Law Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal introduced this bill in the first meeting of the Lok Sabha in the new Parliament House. This bill has been named Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam.
In 2008, the Manmohan Singh-led UPA government introduced the bill in the Rajya Sabha and it was passed in 2010. However, the bill was never brought to the Lok Sabha.
