India made a strong comeback in the five-match Test series against England and won the second match by 106 runs. Jasprit Bumrah's havoc was seen in the second test played in Visakhapatnam. In the first innings, the English batsmen could not understand his ball, whereas in the second innings, he and Ravichandran Ashwin were the real heroes of Team India's victory. Bumrah took six wickets in the first innings of the Visakhapatnam Test and three wickets in the second innings. He was chosen player of the match. With this, this star Indian fast bowler also achieved a special milestone.

He has become the first Indian fast bowler and the second Indian bowler overall to take more than 100 wickets in the World Test Championship, which started in 2019. Ahead of him is only Ashwin, who has 157 wickets to his name in this competition. Bumrah achieved a special milestone by taking the sixth wicket in the first innings. At present, he has a total of 106 wickets in his name in 24 matches in the World Test Championship. He is the ninth bowler overall to take 100+ wickets in this competition. At the same time, he is seventh among fast bowlers. Before him, Pat Cummins, Mitchell Starc, Stuart Broad, Kagiso Rabada, Tim Southee, and James Anderson have achieved this position. Apart from this, there are two spinners Nathan Lyon and Ashwin. Lyon tops the list of highest wicket-takers in the WTC. He has 174 wickets in his name.

Jonny Bairstow was Bumrah's 100th victim in the World Test Championship. Not only this, Bumrah has also completed 150 wickets in Tests and he has taken the least time among Indian fast bowlers to reach this milestone. Bumrah has overall 155 wickets in 34 Tests and his best bowling figures have been six wickets for 27 runs. He was also given the Player of the Match award in the Visakhapatnam Test. After the match, he said that I don't pay attention to statistics. I did all this as a youth and it excited me, but now it's an added burden. The yorker is the first ball I learned as a young player. I had seen many greats of the game using the yorker. Be it Waqar, Wasim, and even Zaheer Khan.

'Going through a period of change'

Bumrah said- We are going through a period of change, so I feel it is my responsibility to help them (new players) in every possible way. We discuss some things. I have been playing with him (Rohit) for a long time. In his competition with Anderson in the match, Bumrah said- There is nothing like that. Before being a cricketer, I am a fan of fast bowling. If someone is doing well, they should be congratulated. I look at the situation and the wicket and think what are my options. I don't want to keep doing just one thing.
