Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has said that everyone wants the tomb of Mughal ruler Aurangzeb to be removed, but it has to be done under the legal process. He said that the previous Congress government had kept this site under the protection of the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI), so it would be necessary to work within the ambit of the law to remove it.

Reacting to this, CM Fadnavis said, 'We also want the same, but it is a protected site. During the Congress government, it was brought under the protection of ASI. Therefore, the legal process will have to be followed to remove it.'
