Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa claimed in an interview with NDTV on Thursday that Hindus are generally not involved in riots. They are peace-loving. Even Hindus as a community do not believe in Jihad. He gave this answer to Amit Shah's comment in 2002 that taught a lesson to the rioters.

Peace in Gujarat since 2002

Biswa said that since 2002, the Gujarat government took several actions to ensure peace in the state. Now there is lasting peace in the kingdom. Now there is no curfew. Action has been taken against the rioters. I have to ensure that there is peace in Assam as well.

During the interview, when Biswa was asked about the comments made by his party leaders on hate speech, love jihad, and Aftab Poonawalla, he said – for any left-leaning person, this is a communal comment, but It said in a national spirit. He said on love jihad that there is a conspiracy, in which Muslim men are accused of wooing Hindus and women are forced to convert.

Biswa said- Ignoring Love Jihad is appeasement politics on the part of some people. It is a matter of concern for the safety of women. There is evidence of love jihad. Even Aftab Poonawalla's polygraph test is said to have revealed that his actions would land him in Jannat. There are also reports on this.

wasted 22 years in congress

Regarding coming to BJP from Congress, Biswa said that he had wasted 22 years in Congress. While in Congress you are worshiping a family, while in BJP you are worshiping the nation. Himanta left Congress and joined the BJP in 2015. After this, the party made him the CM of the state after the victory in Assam.
