Bhajan Singh has told in a statement that he had no idea that the injured person was an actor. He had said that I was just looking at a blood-soaked man and was trying to take him to the hospital. Bhajan Singh also said that he was bleeding so much that his white kurta had turned completely red.

According to media reports, Bhajan Singh Rana has been given a reward of Rs 11,000 by an organization for this noble work. This award has been given to him for his humanitarian work. Earlier, while talking to ANI, he had said that he was called to the police station for a statement. He had said, "I was called there (Bandra Police Station) for questioning... That night I did not think about money. Till now Kareena Kapoor or anyone else has not contacted me."
