'Attempt to confuse people on Waqf Bill', Jagdambika Pal attacked the All India Muslim Personal Law Board.

BJP MP and Chairman of the Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC) on the Waqf (Amendment) Bill 2024 Jagdambika Pal has criticized the All India Muslim Personal Law Board (AIMPLB) for its planned protests against the bill. He claimed that this could create division and challenge the right of Parliament to make laws.

Attempts are being made to confuse people on the Waqf Bill. He said that the AIMPLB had already presented its concerns before the committee and those points have been considered in the report. Not only this, we have also made it a part of our report, then why are they protesting at Jantar Mantar in Delhi.

 

Women and widows will get benefits.

 

A better law is going to be made after the amendment. The poor, women, widows and children will also get the benefit of Waqf. He accused the Muslim Personal Law Board of misleading the people. Pal said that if they are going to protest against this Waqf (amendment) then somewhere they are trying to create hatred among the people of the country.

 

This step taken by them is not democratic. At the same time, AIMPLB spokesperson Syed Qasim Rasool Ilyas claimed that the government aims to create division between Hindus and Muslims and provoke unrest in the country.
