BCCI cameraman injured by Rishabh Pant's shot, DC captain apologized by giving 'special message'

Delhi Capitals captain Rishabh Pant apologized to the BCCI cameraman who was injured by the star batsman's shot. Delhi Capitals defeated Gujarat Titans by 4 runs in the 40th match of IPL 2024 on Tuesday. Rishabh Pant played a stormy inning of unbeaten 88 runs in 43 balls in the match, for which he was chosen Player of the Match.


 

IPL posted a post-match video on its social media handle, in which Pant and DC head coach Ricky Ponting were seen together. Pant, in his style, apologized to the cameraman and wished for his speedy recovery. Pant said in the video, “Sorry Debashish Bhai. Didn't mean to hurt you. But I think you will get well soon and good luck.


 

 

Let us tell you that while sharing the video of Rishabh Pant in IPL, he wrote the caption, "During the DC vs GT match, one of the cameramen of our BCCI production crew got injured. Delhi Capitals captain Rishabh Pant has given a special message for the cameraperson.


 

Pant's great record

Rishabh Pant returned to form in a storm and has staked his claim for the upcoming T20 World Cup. The left-handed batsman destroyed the Gujarat Titans bowlers on Tuesday and became the second batsman after David Warner to score the most half-centuries for Delhi Capitals in the IPL. Pant left behind stalwarts like Shikhar Dhawan and Virender Sehwag.


 

DC remains in the race for playoffs

With the win, the Delhi Capitals team remains in the race for the playoffs. A high-scoring match was played at Arun Jaitley Stadium on Tuesday, in which Delhi Capitals batted first and scored 224 runs losing 4 wickets in 20 overs. In reply, Gujarat put up a good fight but ended at 220/8. The Delhi team is sixth in the points table while the Gujarat team is in seventh place.
