Paris Olympics Day 12 Schedule: Mirabai Chanu will go for the second medal, Vinesh will be expected to win gold

India will be hoping for a medal from weightlifter Mirabai Chanu on Wednesday, the 12th day of the Paris Olympic Games, while athlete Avinash Sable will also challenge in the final of the men's 3000m steeplechase. At the same time, women's wrestler Vinesh Phogat has reached the final of the 50 kg category and will be expected to win the gold medal. Women golfers Aditi Ashok and Diksha Dagar will also start their campaign, while the women's table tennis team will face Germany in the quarter-finals.

 

Chanu expected to repeat Tokyo's miracle

 

Mirabai Chanu won the silver medal in the Tokyo Olympics and will be expected to repeat that miracle once again. If Mirabai succeeds in bringing the medal, she will join those Indian athletes who have won more than one medal in the Olympics. So far, Sushil Kumar, PV Sindhu, and Manu Bhaker are the only Indian players to have won two medals in the Olympics.

 

Medal hope from Avinash

Indian athlete Avinash Sable, who performed well in the qualification, is expected to do even better. Sable has raised hopes of another medal for India by qualifying for the final. On the other hand, the women's table tennis team of Manika Batra, Archana Kamath, and Sreeja Akula will enter to enter the semi-finals. If the team led by Manika is successful in winning, it will take a step towards ensuring a medal.
