Frightened to recapture its power over Taiwan, China has again infiltrated its border. China sent 39 fighter aircraft to Taiwan's AIDZ (Air Defense Identification Zone). This is the second major incursion by China in the last few months. The Taiwan government has deployed missiles to track Chinese fighter planes for fear of attack.
These planes took off on the border of Taiwan
According to the agency, about 39 fighter aircraft of China reached Taiwan's Defense Zone on the night of 23 January. These included 24 fighter jets J-16 and 10 electronic/fighter planes J-10. Taiwan's Defense Ministry said that after this Chinese incursion, Taiwan's Air Force has also deployed its fighter planes after tracking the planes of the People's Liberation Army on the air defense radar system.
The second major action of China in the last 5 months
This is not the first time that China has sent fighter planes to the Taiwan border. Chinese pilots have been flying towards Taiwan for the last one and a half years. In October 2021, 56 fighter planes reached the Taiwan border in a single day.
Taiwan started releasing regular data from September 2020 on infiltration by China. A record of 196 intrusions was recorded in October. Out of these, 149 fighter planes of China were sent within just four days. At that time China was celebrating its annual national day. On this pretext, he had shown his power to Taiwan.
That's why China infiltrates
Typically these flights take place in the airspace southwest of Taiwan. It is called AIDZ (Air Defense Identification Zone). Taiwan and China separated during the civil war in 1949, but China continues to claim the island. As a result, Beijing opposes every action of the Taiwanese government. It continues to use diplomatic and military force to isolate and intimidate Taiwan.
Tensions have escalated since Taiwan's citizens elected Tsai Ing-Wen as president in 2016. Tsai's views were in favor of China and supported the claim that both are part of the same Chinese nation. Later his thoughts changed. This angered China. Beijing had cut off all contact with the Taiwanese government.
