Mahakumbh 2025: Every devotee spent an average of 45 minutes at the bathing ghats of Sangam, revealed by the RF wrist band

The data collected through radio-frequency wristbands revealed that each devotee visiting Prayagraj Mahakumbh spent an average of 45 minutes on the bathing ghat. The data was also used to count the total number of devotees visiting the fair.

 

This time, three methods are being used to determine the actual number of devotees visiting the Mahakumbh fair. One of these is RF wristband data analysis. In this, devotees were given a wristband to tie on their wrists.

The data collected from the wristband containing an RF ID chip showed that each of the devotees who came to the fair on Makar Sankranti and Paush Purnima spent an average of 45 minutes on the bathing ghat, from reaching to returning from the ghat after bathing.

 

Will help in crowd management

Police officers say that knowing the average time spent by devotees on the ghat will help in crowd management. On this basis, a decision can be taken regarding the entry and exit of devotees at the fair. It will be decided when the normal traffic plan is to be followed and when the emergency traffic plan is to be implemented. SSP Rajesh Kumar Dwivedi said that the results obtained from RF wristband data analysis technology will help in crowd management.

 

19 people were plastered during the two-day bathing festival

 

During the Paush Purnima and Makar Sankranti festival, more than 200 people were injured in the jostling of the crowd. The injured also faced the problem of sprain and bone fracture. Out of these, 19 patients were placed in the Central Hospital located in Sector 2. Among these, more than six people suffered wrist injuries after falling on the checkered plate. Apart from this, seven people suffered leg fractures. Others include shoulder dislocation, shoulder bone, rib, and hip fractures. Dr. Vinay Yadav, surgeon of the hospital's orthopedic department, said that most of the patients have been injured due to the jostling of the crowd.

 

Five lakh people traveled free in shuttle buses in four days.

 

In four days, about five lakh passengers traveled free in the shuttle buses of Roadways. The service which started on Sunday continued till 12 o'clock on Wednesday night. During this period, a maximum of 2.50 lakh passengers traveled on Makar Sankranti. UP Roadways Regional Manager MK Trivedi said that now passengers will get the gift of free travel in shuttle buses a day before Mauni Amavasya. From Thursday, passengers will have to pay the fare in these buses like normal days. All 200 e-buses will operate on their scheduled routes.

 

The first international flight took off from Prayagraj Airport in 1932

Meanwhile, when the Royal Bhutan Airlines plane landed on Wednesday morning, all the employees were surprised to see it. Only a select few people knew about its arrival. Later it was known that Lauren Powell Jobs was to leave by the said plane.

 

Lauren Powell Jobs reached the airport in a short while. There she met airport director Mukesh Upadhyay. After the formalities of the immigration department were completed, Lauren Powell's plane left for Bhutan directly from Prayagraj.

 

There was a direct flight to London before 1932

 

During the British rule, international flights used to operate from Prayagraj. Till 1932, there was a direct flight from here to London. Currently, after a gap of 93 years, an international flight was operated from Prayagraj Airport on Wednesday, January 15. However, only Lauren Powell Jobs and some of her colleagues flew in this plane.
