The data collected from the wristband containing an RF ID chip showed that each of the devotees who came to the fair on Makar Sankranti and Paush Purnima spent an average of 45 minutes on the bathing ghat, from reaching to returning from the ghat after bathing.

Will help in crowd management

Police officers say that knowing the average time spent by devotees on the ghat will help in crowd management. On this basis, a decision can be taken regarding the entry and exit of devotees at the fair. It will be decided when the normal traffic plan is to be followed and when the emergency traffic plan is to be implemented. SSP Rajesh Kumar Dwivedi said that the results obtained from RF wristband data analysis technology will help in crowd management.
