The Indian government has once again launched a digital strike on China. According to sources, the Indian government will ban 54 Chinese apps that pose a threat to India's security. According to ANI, these 54 Chinese apps include Beauty Camera: Sweet Selfie HD, Beauty Camera: Selfie Camera, Equalizer and Bass Booster, Camcard for Salesforce Ant, Isoland 2: Ashes of Time Light, Viva Video Editor, Tencent XRiver, AppLock and Includes dual space lights.
Earlier in June last year, India had banned 59 Chinese mobile applications, including widely used social media platforms such as TikTok, WeChat, and Helo, keeping in mind the threat to the country's sovereignty and security. In the June 29 order, intelligence agencies had expressed concern about most of the banned apps, saying that users are collecting data and possibly even sending them outside.
