After heavy rains, the danger of flood has now arisen in the plain states including Delhi, UP, and Punjab-Haryana. From the desert state of Rajasthan to the hilly states, all the major rivers including Ganga, Yamuna, and Beas are in spate.
Water has entered cities, towns, villages, and farms. Thousands of hectares of crops have been destroyed. There is the havoc of rain on the mountains. 17,000 tourists are stranded in Himachal's Kullu tourist places - Manali, Manikarna, and Banjar. The Char Dham Yatra has also been disrupted.

Due to floods in Yamuna and Ghaggar, dams have been broken in Nawada and Tamshabad in Panipat, Haryana. Water has entered hundreds of villages in Kurukshetra, Hisar, Karnal, Bhiwani, and Yamunanagar. Many roads including Hisar to Ambala National Highway have been closed.
