Claim in India Skills Report-2023: 56% of youth of 22-25 years are capable, 50.3% of people are eligible to get jobs in the country

There is good news for our country with the largest youth population in the world. According to the IndiaSkills Report - 2023, 56% of our youth in the age group of 22-25 years are employable, the highest among all age groups. These results have been revealed in the Webox National Employability Test (WNET) of 3.75 lakh candidates in the country and the India Hiring Intent Survey conducted on 150 companies from more than 15 industries. According to this, 50.3% of the people of the country are eligible to get jobs, which is the highest in the last seven years. In the 2022 report, this figure was only 46.2%.

UP, which has the largest population in the country, also tops the list of people having employability. Here 72.7% of people are employable. Maharashtra ranks second with 69.8%. Maharashtra and UP were in the top 2 in the last India Skills Report as well. In the latest report Delhi is at 3rd, Andhra Pradesh 4th, Rajasthan 5th, Karnataka 6th, Telangana 7th, Punjab 8th, Odisha 9th, and Haryana 10th. Whereas, Rs 0-2.6 lakh. Tamil Nadu has the maximum number of people expecting an annual package. Maharashtra is second and UP is third on this list. Andhra Pradesh is at the top among those with a salary package of more than Rs 2.6 lakh. Karnataka comes second and Maharashtra third.

 

most intelligent; B.Com on top, beating B.Tech people in getting jobs

In the previous report of IndiaSkills, those who have done B.Tech was said to be the most employable. But in the latest report, B.Com students have defeated them. 61% of youths with B.Com were found employable, while those with B.Tech were left behind at 57%. For the first time in the last 7 years, B.Com students have come out ahead. MBAs remained second for the second year in a row, but in the 2022 report where only 55% were employable, the latest figure has reached 60%. BPharma (57.51%) stood third in the list, BTech (57.44%) fourth, BRTS (49.20%) fifth, BSc (37.69%) 6th, and ITI (34%) seventh.

 

Golden opportunities in these sectors...

 

In 2023, most jobs are going to come in the automotive, engineering, and internet business.

 

A maximum 39% of recruitment in the automotive sector is being done for those having 1-5 years of experience.

 

55% of the companies said that they are recruiting from government skill centers. 90% of them said – These people are true to the expectations. There are 10,848 such centers in the country. 1.5 crore people have been trained in 8 years.
