
Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal was on Monday sent to judicial custody till April 15 in a money laundering case related to the now defunct Delhi Liquor Policy scam. Delhi CM's morning started with tea and breakfast in Tihar Jail.
According to news agency ANI, the court has allowed Arvind Kejriwal to eat home-cooked food and carry prescribed medicines with him due to his diabetes.
As per the court order, the Delhi Chief Minister, lodged in high-security Tihar Jail No. 2, has been given a separate room and a table and a chair to keep three books. "On his first night in jail, Kejriwal slept on his bed, which was different from the regular bed provided by the jail administration," ANI quoted Tihar Jail sources as saying.
Had breakfast at 6:40 in the morning
The Delhi Chief Minister woke up early on Tuesday and was served breakfast and tea at 6:40 am. After lunch, they have to go back to their cells at 12 o'clock and remain there till 3 o'clock in the afternoon.
Kejriwal will be able to meet these people in jail
The names of wife, daughter, son, personal secretary, and Rajya Sabha member Sandeep Pathak are included in the list of those who meet regularly on behalf of jailed Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal.
It is known that after the custody period of the Enforcement Directorate (ED) ended on Monday, Kejriwal was taken to Rouse Avenue Court. Where the ED described the Delhi Chief Minister as the "kingpin" in the excise policy scam and told the court that the AAP leader gave "evasive answers" and hid information related to the investigation. Kejriwal reached Tihar for the third time
