It is known that after the custody period of the Enforcement Directorate (ED) ended on Monday, Kejriwal was taken to Rouse Avenue Court. Where the ED described the Delhi Chief Minister as the "kingpin" in the excise policy scam and told the court that the AAP leader gave "evasive answers" and hid information related to the investigation. Earlier in the year 2011, when the Anna Hazare movement was started for the demand of Lokpal, Kejriwal was a part of this movement. During that time, he was sent to Tihar in judicial custody after not signing the personal bond not to violate Section 144.
