The United States said on Tuesday that the Covid test for travelers arriving from China is scientific and Beijing's rising coronavirus cases are due to a lack of transparency on the part of its government. Earlier, however, China had described the Covid measures taken by several countries for its passengers as "unacceptable".
It may be noted that two days back the United States had said that air travelers aged two years and above would be required to show a negative Covid report to enter their country.
State Department spokesman Ned Price told reporters when asked about his Chinese counterpart's statement, "This is an approach that is based entirely and exclusively on science."
Price reiterated that the United States was ready to share its COVID-19 vaccines with China. It has given a lot of promotion to its own corona medicine abroad. At the same time, international health experts say that these are very less effective.
China has seen a steady rise in coronavirus cases since the abrupt end to the zero-cases policy following a rare public protest over the widespread lockdown.
