In the last 24 hours, 3,884 people have been cured of the corona. The recovery rate has now increased to 98.72. With the death of 98 people, the death toll has now increased to 5,16,072.
Vaccination figure crossed 180 crores
More than 180.50 crore doses of the Covid vaccine have been administered in the country. About 97 crore people have been given the first dose of the vaccine. More than 81 crore second doses have been applied. Along with this, more than 2 crore people in the country have been given precaution doses so far.
Vaccination started for 12+
Meanwhile, vaccination has been started for children between 12 years and 14 years from Wednesday across the country. Also, for people above 60 years of age, precaution dosage has been started from today. On this occasion, PM Modi said that today is an important day in India's effort to vaccinate its citizens. Now youth in the age group of 12-14 are eligible for vaccination and all those above 60 years of age are eligible for precaution dosage. I urge people in these age groups to get vaccinated.
The PM further said, 'I am glad that India's vaccination efforts have further strengthened the global fight against Covid.' Modi said that today India has many indigenous vaccines. We have approved a few more vaccines. We are in a very good position in the fight against the deadly pandemic. However, we have to continue to follow the covid rules.
