India breaks Pakistan's world record, and won 12th consecutive series against West Indies

The Indian team defeated West Indies by 119 runs in the last match of the three-match ODI series played in Trinidad. With this win, India cleaned up the West Indies in their home ODI series for the first time in 39 years. India has broken a big world record of Pakistan by winning the last match which was interrupted by rain. Team India has set a world record for most consecutive ODI series wins against a country.

 

Pakistan defeated Zimbabwe 11 times in the bilateral ODI series from 1996–21, which was the world record for consecutive ODI series wins against a single team before India vs West Indies series. Pakistan made this record 25 years, while Team India has not lost a single ODI series against West Indies in ODIs since 2007 and this trend continues even now. Because India has defeated West Indies in the ODI series for the 12th time in a row and now the world record for winning consecutive ODI series against any one team has become India's name.

 

Pakistan holds the record of winning consecutive series against Zimbabwe as well as the West Indies. From 1999 to 2022, Pakistan has defeated West Indies in 10 consecutive ODI series. The South Africa team is present at number four. Africa made a clean sweep against Zimbabwe in 9 ODI series from 1995 to 2018.
