Amidst the news of a new wave of corona in China, there has been relief news that the daily positivity rate of corona in the country is less than half a percent. In the last 24 hours, 2568 new corona infections have been found in India, whereas in China, twice this has been found.
According to the data of the Union Health Ministry, in the last 24 hours, till 8 am on Tuesday, more than two and a half thousand new cases were found in the country. The number of active cases now stands at 33,917. This is 0.08% of the total cases. The daily positivity rate now stands at 0.37 percent, while the weekly positivity rate stands at 0.46 percent. In the last 24 hours, 4722 people have become healthy. With 97 deaths, the total death toll has risen to 5,15,974.
180 crore doses given
Meanwhile, 180.40 crore vaccine doses have been given in the country so far. So far, more than 182.84 crore vaccine doses have been provided to the Central Government, States, and Union Territories. Of these, more than 17.30 crore doses are left with the states.
