On the back of Virat Kohli's brilliant batting, Royal Challengers Bangalore defeated Punjab Kings by seven wickets in Mullanpur on Sunday. However, a controversy was also seen on the field in this match. After the victory, Kohli celebrated in front of Shreyas Iyer in such a way that the Punjab captain got angry at him. While shaking hands, Shreyas reached him in anger. Its video is becoming very viral on social media.
What is the whole matter?
After the match was over, Kohli was seen teasing Punjab captain Shreyas with his style of celebration. On this, Shreyas, standing at point, moved towards Kohli saying something. When the two came close to each other for a handshake, Kohli was still seen saying something laughing. It seemed that Shreyas was objecting to this. There was neither laughter on his face nor he was seen in a serious posture. It was clear from this that he was not happy with Kohli's style of celebration. There was a serious conversation between the two. However, Kohli was still seen smiling.
Kohli had teased two more Punjab players in the match.
This is not the first time that Kohli's style of celebration has angered a player. Earlier in the same match, Kohli made a send-off gesture when Punjab's Nehal Wadhera was run out. During the run chase, Kohli was also seen pulling Harpreet Brar's leg. Kohli was seen saying on the stump mic that he knows Harpreet's coach. Nehal had scored the winning runs in the last match against RCB, while Kohli's figures against Harpreet have not been good.
