Children of 12 to 14 years and every elderly person above 60 will get corona vaccine from Wednesday, Corbevax vaccine will be given

Vaccination of children between 12 and 14 years against the coronavirus disease (Covid-19) will start on Wednesday i.e. 16 March. The Government of India gave this information on Monday. Let us inform you that the vaccination of people in the age group of 15-18 years has almost been completed in the country. After which now vaccination of all children in the age group of 12-14 will start.

 

Official sources said on Monday that the Center will start the Covid vaccination for children in the age group of 12 to 14 this week. In addition, the comorbidity clause will be removed to provide a booster dose to senior citizens. That is, now all senior citizens will be eligible for the prevention dose.

 

Apart from this, Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya gave this information by tweeting. He wrote, "Children are safe, the country is safe! I am happy to inform you that from March 16, Covid vaccination for children in the age group of 12 to 13 and 13 to 14 is starting. Also, everyone in the age group of 60+ years will now be able to get the vaccine dose." I urge the families of children and people in the age group of 60+ to get the vaccine done.

 

Corbewax will be given to the 12-14 age group

 

News agency PTI said in a report on Monday that the National Technical Advisory Group on Immunization (NTAGI) has given its recommendation to Hyderabad-based Biological E to administer its Corbevax vaccine to people in the age group of 12-14 years. That is, children in the age group of 12 to 14 in India will be given the Corbevax vaccine of Biological E.

 

It is to be known that India started vaccination of 15-18 years age group from 3rd January. Till now, children were given Bharat Biotech's Covaxin shots. According to the data of the Union Health Ministry, 3,37,70,605 children between 15 and 18 years have received the second dose.
