Former Solicitor General of India and King's Counsel Salve confirmed to ANI that he has been appointed by the IOA to fight the case of Vinesh Phogat (Vinesh Phogat latest news) in the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS).
When will the hearing be held?
Let us tell you that Vinesh was disqualified from her 50 kg weight category because her weight was found to be 100 grams more before the final match. Now Vinesh has filed a case against this in CAS.
The hearing will start in CAS today i.e. on August 9 at 12.30 pm Indian time.
Fought Kulbhushan Jadhav's case in the International Court
Earlier, Harish Salve had fought a case in the International Court in the case of Kulbhushan Jadhav imprisoned in Pakistan. Salve, who used to charge lakhs of rupees as fees, did not charge even a single rupee then. Pakistan had to face defeat in this case.
