Situation Reviewed in a High-Level Meeting

The meeting thoroughly reviewed the situation regarding rumors of disruptions in LPG supply due to the war situation in West Asia.
Information about Central Government Directives
In the meeting, officials from Indraprastha Gas Limited informed that the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas of the Government of India had issued an order on March 9th. This order provides necessary guidelines to ensure the supply, fair, equitable distribution, and availability of domestic PNG and CNG for priority sectors.
No Shortage of Domestic PNG
There is no shortage of PNG for domestic use in Delhi. Furthermore, by re-evaluating priorities, an uninterrupted gas supply has been regularized to approximately 80 percent of industrial areas.
Adequate Stocks of Petrol, Diesel, and LPG
Oil marketing company officials stated that the supply of petrol, diesel, and domestic LPG in Delhi is completely normal, and the companies have adequate stocks. The supply of oil and gas is continuing as before.
Cylinder Booking Period Extended
Officials claimed that the booking period for gas cylinders has been extended from 21 days to 25 days, but cylinders are being delivered to consumers' homes within an average of two to three days after booking.
Priority Set for Commercial Cylinders
The meeting was informed that certain guidelines have been established by oil marketing companies for the supply of commercial gas cylinders, under which educational institutions and hospitals are being given priority. Oil companies are continuously making efforts to maintain a smooth supply of commercial gas.
Instructions to Prevent Black Marketing
The government has also issued instructions to ensure that any kind of gas theft or black marketing is effectively stopped. To this end, Delhi Police and Revenue Department officials have been instructed to be especially vigilant.
Appeal to Avoid Rumors
