Delhi AQI: Respiratory crisis continues in Delhi, AQI reached 399, know for how long will we get relief from air pollution

There is a breathing crisis in the country's capital Delhi and NCR. According to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), the pollution level in Delhi continues to be in very poor condition. Government, private schools, and colleges have reopened from Monday. However, an atmosphere of enthusiasm was seen among the students who reached school. According to the Directorate of Education, there is a ban on outdoor activities in schools.

 

According to information received from the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), on Tuesday, AQI was 374 in Anand Vihar, 399 in Jahangirpuri, 315 on Lodhi Road, and 370 in Moti Bagh. A similar situation will continue till Thursday. The air remains poisonous in Delhi and its surrounding areas. Yesterday, the air was in the very poor category in 27 areas of the capital and the poor category in six areas.

 

Pollution remained strong in Delhi on Monday also

For your information, let us tell you that the air was recorded in the severe category in three areas of Delhi on Monday. Of these, 418 AQI was recorded in Punjabi Bagh, 414 in Bawana, and 402 in Jahangirpuri. Very poor air quality was recorded in 27 areas. In this, the highest air index was recorded in Wazirpur and Mundka.

 

Know where and how much AQI

Here AQI was 399 and 390. AQI was recorded in the very poor category in 27 areas including 387 in Dwarka Sector 8, 384 in Patparganj, 375 in Okhla Phase-2, and 372 in Narela. The air was recorded in the poor category in six areas. Here the air was recorded in poor category in six areas including 295 in Vivek Vihar, 292 in Lodhi Road, 284 in DTU, 271 in Mathura Road, and 269 in Aya Nagar.

 

The air will remain in the very poor category till Thursday

According to the Indian Institute of Tropical Meteorology (IITM), on Monday the winds blew from the north-west direction. During this period the wind speed was eight kilometers per hour. Winds are expected to blow from the north-west on Tuesday. During this period the wind speed is expected to be 10 to 16 kilometers per hour. There is a possibility of smog in the morning. In such a situation, the air will remain in the very poor category.

 

On Wednesday the winds will blow from the north-west direction. The wind speed is expected to be 6 to 10 kilometers per hour. On Thursday, winds may blow from the easterly direction. During this period the wind speed is likely to be 8 kilometers per hour. According to Safar India, the amount of PM 2.5 in Delhi was recorded at around 150 on Monday, which is in the poor category. The amount of PM 10 was recorded at 261.
