Local people of Delhi said that there was so much pollution before Diwali. People are worried, and the government should take some measures.

On Tuesday, Delhi's AQI was recorded as the highest in the country after Sonipat. On Tuesday, the AQI in Sonipat, Delhi, Jind, and Sri Ganganagar was very bad among 252 centers in the country. Given the problem, the Delhi government has instructed to intensify other measures including sprinkling of water. Also, to reduce vehicles on the roads, the Environment Minister has instructed DTC and Metro to increase the frequency and trips. After the order, DTC has increased the frequency. At the same time, the Metro has increased 40 trips. Also, the metro has been asked to increase the number of trips further. To reduce private transport from the roads, the concerned department has been instructed to take the necessary steps to increase vehicle parking fees. Doctors have advised people to avoid going out in the morning and evening.
Pollution levels have become dangerous in many areas.
According to the Central Pollution Control Board, the pollution level became dangerous in many areas including Anand Vihar in Delhi late in the evening. AQI 414 was recorded in Anand Vihar at 7 pm. At the same time, AQI 384 was recorded in Jahangirpuri, AQI 333 in Narela, and AQI 383 in Mundka.
Strict instructions were given in the meeting
Delhi Environment Minister Gopal Rai held a high-level meeting with officials on Tuesday. In the meeting, instructions were given to take all necessary measures to deal with pollution. He said that on the orders of CAQM, Grape-2 has been implemented in Delhi. After the meeting, the minister was instructed to keep a close watch on the hotspots and spray water on the hot spots by mixing dust suppressants.
Instructions to construction sites
6200 sanitation workers of MCD will be deployed to clean the roads in Delhi. Also, 1800 traffic police have been deployed for a smooth flow of traffic in crowded places. All government departments, private agencies, and construction sites have been instructed to provide heaters to the security guards deployed on night duty. The frequency of public transport metro and CNG, and electric bus service will be increased in Delhi. PWD has been ordered to deploy mobile anti-smog guns at construction sites and dusty sites as well. The coordination team has been instructed to visit the hot spots daily. The anti-dust team has been instructed to inspect at least two C&D sites daily.
New order for buses outside Delhi
Gopal Rai said that government departments, private agencies, construction sites, and resident welfare associations have been instructed to provide electric heaters to security personnel so that they do not burn biomass in the open during winter. For this, the Revenue Department and DPCC have been ordered to issue necessary instructions. The minister said that a letter has been written to the governments of the states adjacent to Delhi and requested that as long as the pollution level in Delhi is high, they should send only CNG and electric buses instead of their diesel buses.
Doctors advised them to avoid going out.
