Chhaava: Tehseen Poonawala got angry at those who blamed 'Chhava' for the Nagpur riots, said- Art is not a matchstick

Actor Vicky Kaushal starrer 'Chhaava' is in theatres and is earning a lot even after a month. On the other hand, there are a lot of controversies in this film. This is a film based on the life of Sambhaji Maharaj. After the release of 'Chhaava', a section has allegedly demanded the removal of Aurangzeb's tomb. Violence broke out in Nagpur on Monday over this. Some people are blaming Vicky Kaushal for this. Political analyst and Bigg Boss 13 fame Tehseen Poonawala has responded to such people.

What did Tehseen Poonawala say?

Tehseen Poonawala has criticized those who blamed actor Vicky Kaushal for the riots in Nagpur and other areas of Maharashtra. He says that this is condemnable. Tehseen Poonawala shared a post from his ex-account (formerly Twitter) on Wednesday. He wrote, 'It is extremely reprehensible to blame the film 'Chhaava' starring Vicky Kaushal for the Nagpur riots, in which he has played the role of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj brilliantly. Art - be it a film, a book, or any other creative expression - does not have the power to incite violence. It is just a mirror to the society, not a matchstick'.

Wrote - 'The poor have to bleed'

If a film is offensive, leave it or make a better film. If a book offends, ignore it or write a better story. Violence is never anyone's right. The real culprits here are a low-grade actress and Abu Azmi, who shamelessly glorified Aurangzeb so that right-wing groups and even Maharashtra minister Rane and Telangana MLA T. Raja could further fuel the fire of hatred. Yet, notice the hypocrisy. Neither Azmi's children nor Rane's family members nor Raja's family took to the streets, why? Because the privileged spread chaos, causing the poor to bleed and the middle class to suffer. Let's end this cycle of hate. Unite in the resounding slogans of Jai Shivaji, Jai Bhavani, Jai Hind, and Jai Bharat and embrace each other as a family in this holy month of Ramadan. May India progress and prosper undivided!

'Chhaava' is earning a lot of money at the box office.

Users are seen praising Tahseen Poonawala on his post and agree with him. Talking about the film 'Chhaava', Vicky Kaushal has played the lead role in this film directed by Laxman Utekar. Rashmika Mandanna is in the role of Yesubai. At the same time, Akshay Khanna has played the role of Aurangzeb. The film has earned Rs 567.80 crore at the Indian box office.
