National Talent Search Examination (NTSE), Olympiads, and Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) will now be prepared in government schools of Jharkhand. According to an official, along with these exams, free coaching for the National Defense Academy (NDA) exam will also be added under the Akanksha scheme. Jharkhand Chief Minister Hamet Soren has permitted this scheme of the Department of School Education and Literacy.
A total of 100 students will be selected for special coaching under this scheme. 25-25 students will be selected from classes 7,8,9 and 10. For this, students have to clear the entrance exam conducted by the government.
NTSE is a national-level exam. At the same time, Olympiads are organized by private institutions. It consists of Mathematics, Science, English, and Computer-based questions. CLAT exam is conducted for admission in law universities. It has been told in the press release that 50-50 students will be selected from class 11th and 12th.
Akanksha Yojana was started by the Jharkhand Education Department in the year 2016-2017. Under this, financially weak students in government schools are given free coaching to prepare for medical and engineering exams. So far 92 students have cleared JEE Main, 11 students JEE Advanced and 64 students have cleared NEET under this scheme.
