Ukraine crisis: world's big companies angry with Russia, so far many big brands have stopped services, these names including Apple-Google

The war between Russia and Ukraine has intensified. Most of the world's largest companies have become angry with Russia and are restricting their operations in the country. These include many big brands including Apple, Google, Netflix, etc.

 

Adidas took a big step

 

Germany's sportswear brand and world-famous Adidas have made a big announcement during the ongoing bloody conflict between Russia and Ukraine. Adidas has suspended its partnership with the Russian Football Federation in response to the invasion of Ukraine. The German sportswear giant began work as the country's kit maker in 2008, designing shirts for its domestic World Cup in 2018. But he has put his deal with the Russian national team on hold as the death toll rises in Eastern Europe. Adidas announced UEFA's decision to ban.

 

Tech giant Apple banned

 

iPhone maker Apple, the world's most valuable company, also took steps against Russia in the past, banning the sale of all its products in Russian markets. In this regard, it was said by a spokesperson of the giant American tech company that the company has limited the sale of products as well as Apple Pay and other services. This is being considered a big blow for Russia. Apple stressed that the company is with all those who have been victims of violence.

 

Nike made a big announcement

 

Tech company Apple and sportswear brand Adidas, as well as athleticwear maker Nike, followed suit by announcing a halt to sales of their product in Russia. On behalf of the company, it was said that the uncertainty has increased due to the ongoing conflict between Russia and Ukraine, and in this sequence, it has been decided to stop the sale of all its products in the country with immediate effect.

 

Google gave a big blow

 

After Russia attacked Ukraine, Google has also taken a tough step against Russia. Russian state media RT News and Sputnik have been blocked by Google on the Play Store. YouTube, which is operated by Alphabet Inc.'s company Google, has also blocked channels linked to the Russian media outlet Russia Today, effective immediately. These YouTube channels are directly related to the Russian government. In such a situation, Google's action is not less than a big setback for Russia.

 

Netflix services suspended

 

After Google and YouTube, the name of Netflix has also been added to the brand which has been vocal against Russia. Netflix has said it is suspending its service in Russia. The company stated on Sunday, blaming the ground situation for the decision to suspend its services in Russia. However, he has not given any additional information. The announcement follows TikTok's statement that Russian users have been banned from sharing videos on the app and viewing posts from other parts of the world.

 

Mercedes breaks partnership

 

The automobile sector has also made big announcements against Russia and in this sequence, automakers Volvo and Mercedes-Benz have made big announcements. Mercedes said in a statement issued after the Russian military attacked Ukraine that it was ending its partnership with a Russian truck maker. Apart from this, it has been said that Volvo has also decided to close its factory making trucks in Russia.

 

Boeing halts operations

 

Due to the economic sanctions being imposed on Russia by the western countries of the world, Boeing has also decided to stop its operations in the country. In the past, Boeing said it had halted major operations at its Moscow office and temporarily closed another office in Kyiv, Ukraine. The company also said that it has stopped providing parts, maintenance, and technical support services to Russian airlines. In recent days, countries around the world have imposed sanctions on Russia. Along with this, Airbus has also announced to stop the supply of ship maintenance-related parts to Russian Airlines immediately.

 

Ikea ceases operations

 

In this sequence, Ikea also announced the closure of its operations in Russia. After this announcement of the company, about 15000 employees will be affected i.e. their job will be lost. Let us tell you that this big step has been taken by Ikea after the ban announcement of many companies. Apart from this, Swedish major clothing company H&M has also followed suit like other big brands. The company has also temporarily banned the sale of all types of its products in the Russian markets. Not only this, but many other big names are also joining the companies that have announced sanctions by expressing their anger against Russia.
