Workers living in the cities of Jharkhand will also get guaranteed employment for 100 days in a year. Unemployment allowance will be given if the government cannot provide employment. The State Government is soon going to launch the Chief Minister's Shramik Yojana for urban laborers to deal with a livelihood in the Corona era. The city development department has prepared this.

Under the Mukhyamantri Shramik Yojana on the lines of MNREGA for rural laborers, adults above 18 years of age will be able to ask for work. Unskilled workers have to be provided work within 15 days of application. The process of giving unemployment allowance will start after 15 days if government agencies or municipal bodies are unable to provide work. A quarter of the minimum wage will be given to the applicant in the first month. Half of the minimum wage will be paid in the second month. After this, the full minimum wage of a month will be given.

Pure water will be kept at work

Provisions are also being made to ease the working conditions of the workers under the Chief Minister's Shramik Yojana. Pure drinking water and first aid equipment will be available at the workplace. If women workers are working at the workplace, then there will also be a system to keep their children there. So that the upbringing of children does not obstruct their functioning.

Will get work in your ward or city

The objective of the Chief Minister Shramik Yojana is to stop the migration of laborers from the cities due to lack of work. Chief Minister Hemant Soren had already announced such a scheme for urban unskilled laborers. Under the Mukhyamantri Shramik (Urban Employment Clearance for Workers) scheme, unskilled laborers will have to work in their ward or city. Through this, the government wants to reduce the cost of living of the workers as well as increase their income by stopping the internal migration.

Municipal bodies responsible for providing work

Under the Chief Minister Shramik Yojana, the responsibility of providing work to urban workers will be given to the municipal bodies. For this, provision will be made to employ unskilled workers in urban development schemes. For this, the state government will also give an additional amount in the form of a critical gap fund to the municipal bodies. Separate provision will also be made for this in the budget. A plan for this will also be prepared separately under the State Urban Livelihoods Mission.
