The Pakistan team is playing a three-match Test series against Australia at their home ground. After almost 24 years, the Australian team has come on a tour of Pakistan and the fans were waiting for a good match, but the fans, as well as the players, are not looking very happy after seeing the pitch of the first Test match being held in Rawalpindi. Today is the last day of the first match, but only 14 wickets have fallen and more than 1100 runs have been scored by both teams. Although the match was interrupted due to rain and wet ground, fans were expecting a good match, which was not visible at all.

There is to be a series of three Tests, three ODIs, and one T20 between Australia and Pakistan. Its first match is being played in Rawalpindi from March 4. On the third day of the first Test, a spectator wrote in his poster, "Hey pitch curator, I want to hire you to build a road near my house."

Earlier, many veterans have called the Pindi pitch dead and said that this is the reason why people run away from Test cricket. Not only this, the players of both the teams were also not happy with the game of this wicket at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium. Nauman Ali said the surface was not helping, as is usually the case in Rawalpindi, while Australia's vice-captain Steve Smith said there was nothing on the pitch for the fast bowlers.

Former Test opener of the Indian cricket team Wasim Jaffer has said about the Pakistan vs Australia test match that a dead pitch is equal to a dead game.

Broadcaster Fox Cricket also made fun of the pitch at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium ahead of the Australian team's first match against Pakistan. The Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium pitch had low grass and broadcasters edited the picture of the pitch to make path names and footpaths on it. This picture became quite viral on social media.
