Central government claims: 216 crore doses of vaccine will be found in 5 months between August and December this year, it will be for Indians only.

On Thursday, NITI Aayog member VK Paul made a hopeful announcement amid a lack of vaccines in the country. Paul said that 216 crore doses of vaccine will be prepared from August to December this year. Paul said that any vaccine approved by the FDA or WHO would be allowed to come to India.

Import license will be given to them in one to two days. No import license is pending. Paul further explained that the Ministry of External Affairs is in touch with other vaccine makers in the world. We have already told Pfizer, Moderna, and Johnson & Johnson that if they want to send the vaccine from their home production, they would welcome it if they want to send it to India or produce it. For this, the central government is ready to provide every support.

Sputnik can come into the market from next week

NITI Aayog member Dr. VK Paul said that according to the data till 8 am on Thursday, 17.72 crore doses of the vaccine have been given so far. In the US, this number is around 26 crores. China is at number two. He said at the press conference of the Ministry of Health that Sputnik Corona Vaccine has arrived in India and I am happy to say that this vaccine will be available in the market from next week. There was less supply from Russia, it will increase by next week.

Bharat Biotech will also help other companies

Dr. Paul said that people say that help of other companies should also be taken in the manufacture of covaxin. I am happy to say that when we discussed this in this regard with Covaxin's manufacturer, Bharat Biotech, they gave their consent and welcomed the proposal. With the help of this vaccine, the coronavirus can be killed and it can be manufactured only in the BSL3 lab.

Positiveness rate declines in 20 states

A new case of Corona has been reported in the country for the last few days. 187 districts, including 20 states, have seen a decrease in cases in the last 2 weeks. This is to say that of Luv Agarwal, Joint Secretary, Union Health Ministry. Aggarwal said on Thursday that there are 24 states where there are more than 15% positive cases. There are 8 states with cases between 5% and 15%, while there are 4 states with a positive rate of less than 5%. Aggarwal said that the decline in new cases is being seen.

PM's meeting with DM of Corona's high-case districts

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will meet on 18 and 20 May with the DM of Corona's high caseload districts. Chief Ministers of the states will also be present in this meeting. On May 18, there will be a meeting with 46 DMs of 9 states, while on May 20, there will be a meeting with DMs of 54 districts of 10 states.
