Hardik's message for the next World Cup: Forget defeat, correct mistakes... youth have a chance, to prove themselves

India captain Hardik Pandya has given a message to the team in the T20 series on the New Zealand tour. He said on Wednesday – We should forget the defeat and move forward and rectify the mistakes. Hardik said that new talent will be given a chance, and they should prove themselves. Team India will play a 3-match T20 series from November 18 on a New Zealand tour, but Captain Hardik is eyeing the T20 World Cup to be held in 2024.

 

1. New Zealand series also part of the roadmap

Hardik Pandya said that the roadmap for the 2024 T20 World Cup will have to be prepared from now itself. This series is also a part of that.

 

2. Opportunity to test young talent

He said, "In the absence of senior players in this series, young players have a chance to prove themselves. T20 World Cup is in West Indies and America in 2024. Two years are left. Meanwhile, playing a lot of cricket. In such a situation, it is a good opportunity to test the talent of the youth.

 

3. Weakness has to be found, it has to be fixed

Pandya said that the defeat to England in the semi-finals of the T20 World Cup 2022 is disappointing, but there is a need to forget this defeat and move forward. We are professional players. We have to learn from this defeat and correct our mistakes and fix where the team is weak.

 

4. New Zealand big challenge, but youth will come true

Hardik said that the New Zealand team always presents a challenge in the T20 format. This team has also returned after reaching the semi-finals in the T20 World Cup 2022. According to BCCI sources, there may be a change regarding the World Cup to be held in June 2024 after 2 years. Hardik Pandya is the choice of the board. He can be considered for handing over the captaincy for a long time with the new team.

 

BCCI's plan: Dhoni's entry into T-20

The BCCI is planning to replace the T20 team that returned to the country without a World Cup title. Mahendra Singh Dhoni, who won the 2007 title, also has a role in the board's plan. The board can add Dhoni to the team again to make the T20 team aggressive. The board has also sent Dhoni with the team as a mentor in the T20 World Cup 2021.
