Root is a flop in front of Bumrah

Root has played 21 innings against Bumrah so far in Tests. In this, he has been able to score only 254 runs at an average of 28.22. Bumrah sent him to the pavilion nine times. Australia's Pat Cummins and Josh Hazlewood hold the record for dismissing Root the most number of times in Tests. Cummins has sent this legendary batsman to the pavilion 11 times and Hazlewood has sent him to the pavilion 10 times. After this comes Bumrah's turn. Ashwin has dismissed Root six times.

Bairstow's flop show continues

At the same time, Jonny Bairstow is also out of form since last year's ODI World Cup. He has been able to score 420 runs in the last 14 innings in Test. This includes three 50+ scores, but not a single century. His highest score has been 99 not out. At the same time, from 2021 till now, he has been able to score 265 runs in 13 Test innings at an average of 22.08 on Asian soil. His highest score has been 47 runs. During this period he has not been able to open the account four times.
