Root has played 21 innings against Bumrah so far in Tests. In this, he has been able to score only 254 runs at an average of 28.22. Bumrah sent him to the pavilion nine times. Australia's Pat Cummins and Josh Hazlewood hold the record for dismissing Root the most number of times in Tests.
