Countries around the world have been plagued by the Corona epidemic. At the same time, the second wave of corona in India has caused a lot of outcries. Meanwhile, experts have warned that the country may also face a third wave of Corona. Experts say children may be the most infected in the third wave of the corona. In such a situation, the Madhya Pradesh government has taken the warning of experts seriously and has started preparations on a large scale to deal with the third wave of Covid-19. Under this, the government has instructed to set up 360-bed ICUs in the hospitals of the state's medical colleges for children. It will begin in Bhopal, where a 50-bed ICU will be prepared for children at Hamidia Hospital.
Important decisions are taken in the meeting
On Sunday (May 9), Medical Education Minister Vishwas Sarang held a meeting with doctors and officials of the Department of Medical Education of the state's 13 government medical colleges and hospitals through video conferencing for the third wave. After this, he directed the officials to purchase and make available all necessary medicines, injections, consumables, and health equipment in hospitals for the treatment of children. The government has said that whatever amount will be charged for this work will be given to all medical colleges.
1267 beds to be increased in 13 medical college hospitals
Already, work is being done to increase the number of beds and ICU wards in Covid hospitals across the state because of the possibility of a further increase in the number of corona patients. In the first phase, 1267 beds are being increased in 13 medical college hospitals of the state and preparations have been started to increase 767 ICU and HDU beds. 1000 oxygen concentrators are also being set up in these hospitals. Instructions were given to the oxygen concentrator to run round the clock
Apart from this, the Medical Minister has instructed that the provision of electric power load, electric safety, and audit, power plug connections on each bed, etc. should be set up to operate the oxygen concentrator round the clock and seven days.
