
The bodies of two policemen, who were washed away in flood waters in Assam's Nagaon district on Sunday night, were recovered on Monday. According to the Assam Police, a team of Kanpur police station was engaged in a rescue operation late on Sunday night when sub-inspector Samujjal Kakoti and constable Rajiv Bordoloi were washed away in flood waters. The body of Rajiv Bordoloi was recovered. The body of Samujjal Kakoti was recovered by SDRF on Monday morning.
Monsoon has covered 50% of the country till Sunday. The special thing is that after the arrival of the monsoon, it is raining twice in some places. Experts say that if this trend continues, then there will be more rain than normal across the country. Meteorologists say that there has been a big change in the pattern of monsoon in the last few years.

This is the effect of climate change. For example, Tamil Nadu has so far received 72% more rainfall than normal, while Kerala has received 57% less rainfall. Similarly, Meghalaya has received 3 times the normal, Assam has received 2 times more rain, while the neighboring state of Manipur has received 28% less rain.
A truck driver died in a cloudburst in the Mandi area of Poonch in Jammu and Kashmir. The Tehsildar of Mandi said – Due to a cloudburst, a lot of debris came flowing from the hill. The debris fell on the truck going on the road, and the driver died after being buried under the debris.

Some villages located on the banks of the Brahmaputra river in Assam's Nagaon district have been submerged. Around 2.5 lakh people have been affected due to waterlogging. The agriculture of 5,174 hectares of these villages has been ruined. The state government has opened 30 relief camps along with rescue operations.

Mahesh Palawat, a scientist of the meteorological agency Skymet, said that the monsoon reaches central India in the second fortnight of June, which is on time. Monsoon rains will continue till the end of this month. In April, we had estimated that there would be 98% rain in June, but now it seems to be up to 110%.
