Maharashtra: 9 killed in a horrific road accident on Mumbai-Goa highway, car badly damaged after colliding with a truck

A horrific road accident has been witnessed on the Mumbai-Goa highway in Maharashtra. Due to the collision of a car and a truck, 9 people in it died on the spot. Three women are also included in the dead. The incident took place at Repoli in the Mangaon of Raigarh.

 

Damaged car

The road accident was so gruesome that the car was blown away. As soon as the truck and the car collided head-on, the car was completely flattened and damaged and the occupants of the car died. The incident took place at 4.45 am on Thursday on the Mumbai-Goa highway in the Raigad district. Nine people were killed and a child is said to be injured when a speeding truck collided with a van.

 

Accident at a distance of 130 km from Mumbai

The accident took place in Raigad's Repoli village, over 130 km from Mumbai, in the morning. Superintendent of Police Somnath Gharge said that all the relatives of the victims were going to Guhagar in Ratnagiri district in the van. The truck was going towards Mumbai. The dead included a girl child, three women, and five men, the official said. He said that after getting the information, the police reached the spot and started the rescue operation.

 

The 4-year-old girl admitted to the hospital

The four-year-old girl who was injured in the accident was taken to a hospital in Mangaon, the official said. The bodies have been sent to a government hospital for post-mortem, he said. Police said the cause of the accident is yet to be ascertained.
