Mahayuti got a great victory in the Maharashtra assembly elections. However, even after more than a week of the results, it has not been decided who will be the Chief Minister of the state. There is a discussion that the new government is going to be formed in the state on December 5, but the name of the CM is not known. But now it is almost certain that the CM post is going to go to the BJP, but the suspense remains on the name. At the same time, the opposition is constantly making sarcastic comments about this. In the assembly elections held on November 20 in Maharashtra, the alliance of BJP, Eknath Shinde's Shiv Sena, and Ajit Pawar's Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) Mahayuti retained power by winning 230 out of 288 seats. BJP emerged as the largest party by winning 132 seats while Shiv Sena won 57 and NCP won 41 seats. However, even after the declaration of election results on November 23, no decision has been taken on who will be the Chief Minister.

On the political developments in Maharashtra, JMM leader Manoj Pandey said, 'It is beyond comprehension that the party that claims to be the biggest is unable to elect a leader. They (Mahayuti) are leaderless.'

If everyone had agreed, why would it have taken so much time: Congress

 

Congress MP Pramod Tiwari said, 'We can understand one thing - if the government is not formed with full majority, then numbers have to be brought. But here they registered more than the two-third majority. Then what are they working on? The person who betrayed the party formed by Balasaheb Thackeray, who broke it, is desperate to become CM. Let's see who becomes CM. If everyone had agreed, why would it have taken so much time.'
