Bengal Violence: Focus on protecting the rights of minorities; India's blunt statement angered by Bangladesh's comment

India has given a befitting reply to Bangladesh for commenting on the violence in West Bengal. The Ministry of External Affairs took cognizance of Bangladesh's statement and said that the neighboring country needs to focus on protecting the rights of minorities living in its country. Angered by Bangladesh's comment, India said in a blunt tone, 'We reject the comments made by Bangladesh regarding the incidents in West Bengal. Such comments are a hidden and sly attempt to show similarity with the incidents of violence, instead of addressing India's concerns on the oppression of minorities in Bangladesh.

Bangladesh should focus on protecting the rights of minorities.

India showed the mirror to Bangladesh and said that criminals involved in acts like violence roam freely there. The Ministry of External Affairs said that the neighboring country should focus on protecting the rights of minorities living in Bangladesh, instead of making inappropriate comments on India's affairs and portraying itself as good.

Relations between the two countries are not normal, India wants good relations with its neighbor.

It is worth noting that a day earlier, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal had said on a question related to India-Bangladesh relations that India hopes to build positive and constructive relations with Bangladesh. We are in favor of a democratic, inclusive Bangladesh. Let us tell you that due to souring relations, last week India had announced to withdraw the transshipment facility given to Bangladesh for the Middle East, Europe and other countries through its ports and airports.
