The Ministry of External Affairs took cognizance of Bangladesh's statement and said that the neighboring country needs to focus on protecting the rights of minorities living in its country. Angered by Bangladesh's comment, India said in a blunt tone, 'We reject the comments made by Bangladesh regarding the incidents in West Bengal. Such comments are a hidden and sly attempt to show similarity with the incidents of violence, instead of addressing India's concerns on the oppression of minorities in Bangladesh.
Bangladesh should focus on protecting the rights of minorities.
