Death due to electric shock

Due to heavy rains, one person died due to a landslide in Adharwadi village of Pune rural. While another was also injured in the accident. At the same time, three people died due to electric shock in the early hours of Thursday. They were trying to remove their cart which was submerged due to heavy rains.

Police said that the incident took place in the Deccan Gymkhana area. All three deceased were selling eggs on a roadside cart near Baba Bhide Bridge. An officer of Deccan Gymkhana police station said that due to heavy rains, their cart was submerged in water. While removing it from the water, they got an electric shock. He said that after the incident, three people - Abhishek Ghanekar, Akash Mane, and Shiv Parihar were taken to the hospital, where they died during treatment.
