Jharkhand: Kharge claims- PM Modi had received an intelligence report of a terrorist attack, which is why he canceled his Jammu and Kashmir visit

Posted on 6th May 2025 05:49 pm by rohit kumar

Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge fiercely targeted Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the central government in Jharkhand's capital Ranchi. He claimed on Tuesday that Prime Minister Modi had received intelligence reports of the terrorist attack in Jammu and Kashmir, after which he canceled his visit to the Union Territory. He said that an intelligence report was sent to the Prime Minister three days before the Pahalgam attack on April 22. So he canceled his program to visit Kashmir. I also read this in a newspaper.

'During the all-party meeting, PM Modi admitted that there was a flaw in the intelligence'

26 people, most of whom were tourists, were killed in the terrorist attack in Pahalgam on April 22. Addressing the 'Samvidhan Bachao' rally in Jharkhand's capital Ranchi, the Congress chief claimed that during the all-party meeting, PM Modi admitted that there was a flaw in the intelligence. He asked, 'Shouldn't the Center be held accountable for the deaths in the Pahalgam attack when it has admitted a flaw in the intelligence.' He declared that the Congress stands with the Centre for any action against Pakistan after the Pahalgam attack, as the country is supreme and beyond party, religion, and caste.

'Why were more security forces not deployed in Pahalgam?'

He asked sharp questions to the government, why did the Centre not deploy more security forces in Pahalgam despite intelligence reports of a terror attack? Shouldn't the Centre be held accountable for the loss of lives in the Pahalgam attack when it has admitted intelligence lapses? The Congress stands with the government for any action against Pakistan after the Pahalgam attack. The country is supreme beyond party. However, Kharge also alleged that PM Modi canceled his Kashmir visit after intelligence reports of a possible terror attack.

'BJP only believes in 'jumla''

He said that we fight for India, poor people, tribals. The BJP only believes in 'jumla' (rhetoric). The Congress chief alleged that PM Modi's policy is to close down public sector institutions and snatch jobs from SC, ST, and OBC communities.

BJP hits back

The BJP hit back in the matter. Jharkhand BJP chief Babulal Marandi said that Kharge's remarks have come at a crucial time when the fight against terrorism and Pakistan is at a decisive juncture.
